Hear from a panel of four speakers about their experiences, their research and their visions for the future of Israel/Palestine.

Sary Zananiri is an artist and writer. He recently completed a PhD in Fine Arts at Monash University looking at the evolving representations of the Palestinian landscape. He has shown both nationally and internationally and worked on a number of collaborative commissions.

Australian Palestinian, Micaela Sahhar, is a current PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. Her research relates to the impact of international response to Israeli military operations in the 21st century on the future of Israel-Palestinian relations.

Dr Jordy Silverstein is a member of the executive of the Australian Jewish Democratic Society and a writer and historian of modern Jewish identities and sexualities. Her book, Anxious Histories: Narrating the Holocaust in Jewish Communities at the Beginning of the Twenty First Century, will be published by Berghahn Books in 2015.

Danya Jacobs is an environmental lawyer. She is a member of the Australian Jewish Democratic Society executive and worked for two years with the Israeli Committee Against Housing Demolitions (ICAHD) in Jerusalem.

In 2011, for their own protection, Rami Hwayel and his fellow actors from the Jenin Freedom Theatre were transferred from the refugee camp where they lived to a secret location in Ramallah. In the evenings Rami would telephone his mother, who instructed him how to cook over the phone. For A Centre for Everything, Rami makes a Palestinian staple, Maklouba, served with yoghurt, hummus, bread and salad. Vegetarian version will also be available.
